course details
Using a combination of exercises and directed group discussions about common management scenarios, NAVEM steers delegates through the fundamental rules of successful management by establishing a solid foundation for their managerial responsibilities and laying the groundwork for achieving their full potential.
We encourage delegates to think like managers and be aware of the expectations that their new position places on their staff and their company and, not least, themselves.
To achieve this objective, the course is split into three specific areas:
- managing your team - your staff are your biggest asset, it is imperative that you get the best from them
- managing upwards - this can be a sensitive and difficult topic and quite often overlooked, but you'll be faced with it from day one of your appointment
- managing yourself - if you can't manage yourself, how can you manage your team?
It encourages delegates to think like managers and be aware of the expectations that the position places on themselves, their staff and their company.
NAVEM will...
- deliver practical, focussed training from experienced managers;
- suggest solutions to a variety of problematic situations;
- introduce and clarify the basic rules of management;
- explain the “how to's”, the “why's” and the benefits of adopting our suggested approach
NAVEM will not...
- condemn delegates to death by Powerpoint or paper
- subject delegates to embarrassing role plays
- waste time on superfluous and irrelevant issues
